 We have recreation programs for all people, including those with disabilities. Learn how you can experience those opportunities.

  • All People’s Life Center
    • Every detail of this recreation center exceeds ADA standards for accessibility, eliminating all barriers to participation for people with disabilities
  • Bakas Equestrian Center
    • Offers horseback riding to children and adults and specializes in those with disabilities including some that are severe and profound

Camp Sparks & Inclusion Sites
  • Camp Sparks is for kids with special needs and disabilities that may not successfully thrive in a traditional style afterschool or summer camp environment
  • Inclusion Camps provide opportunities for children with disabilities to interact and learn alongside their non-disabled peers in a recreational setting
Hillsborough County Special Olympics 
  • Provides year round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for people with intellectual disabilities
  • All People's Life Center
Special Olympics Volleyball Team
  • Special Olympics offers 5 variations of volleyball:
    • Standard Indoor
    • Modified Indoor
    • Unified Indoor
    • Unified Beach Volleyball
    • Skills Competition
Paralympic Sports Tampa Bay (PSTB)
  • Promotes health, independence and personal growth through sports for people with physical disabilities
  • All People's Life Center
Archery (PSTB)
  • Open to men and women with physical disabilities including those with amputations and limb loss, spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries
  • Athletes can compete either standing or in chairs.
Wheelchair Basketball – Strong Dogs
  • The Tampa Bay Strong Dogs features disabled students (16+), veterans and members of the community who have a genuine love for the game of basketball and a passion for staying involved in adaptive sports and fitness opportunities
Wheelchair Rugby
  • A team sport for male and female athletes with a mobility-related disability in at least three limbs (tetraplegia)
  • A unique sport created by athletes with a disability and combines elements of basketball, handball and ice hockey
