Summer Youth Fire Academy

The Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Foundation is offering an exciting opportunity to participate in the Summer Youth Fire Academy (SYFA). There is no cost to participate. The SYFA will be filled with hands-on and classroom activities where you'll learn if you have what it takes to be a first responder. During these two weeks, you will be exposed to a career in the field of firefighting and emergency medicine. Don't miss out, apply today!

Eligibility

The program is open to any student or graduating senior, ages 14-18, who are interested in a career in Fire Rescue. A Fire Rescue panel will make the final selection of approximately 30 SYFA participants for the 2 week academy.
