Public Meeting: Site Relocation for Fire Station 21

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Dec. 5, 2017) - Residents in the Thonotosassa area can attend a public information meeting to learn more about the proposed site relocation for the Thonotosassa Fire Station 21. The proposed fire station site is located at the northeast corner of Main Street and Route 579 in Thonotosassa.

Hosted by Hillsborough County Real Estate & Facilities Services and Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, the open house meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11 at Thonotosassa Branch Library, 10715 Main Street in Thonotosassa. Residents will have the opportunity to review and give input on the relocation of the fire station.

Fire Station 21 was built in the 1960s, and no longer meets the standards for County fire stations. The proposed site chosen by Hillsborough County will be part of the community's Main Street hub and will improve emergency response times.
